The Metabo Marathon motor with patented dust protection and the high-performance drive system contribute to productivity and tool service life. The Vario-Tacho-Constamatic (VTC) electronic system adjusts the speed to suit the material and maintains it under load.

The rubber grip is ergonomically designed, while the side handle and guard can be adjusted without tools. The spindle lock and tool-free flange nut make it easy to change accessories. It features overload protection, electronic soft start and protection against accidental restart after a power outage.
