Personally, I don't see any difference from the surface of the much more expensive Steel Series QcK Heavy that I recently bought. The QcK Heavy was much larger (320x270) than the dimensions I wanted (to fit in the 14" laptop carrying case). Therefore, in the small size (250mm), there weren't many options available (the Zowie GSr that I could have bought is globally sold out, as is the Fantech Sven MP25). I took a risk with this one, as I wanted a surface that is not too slippery but emphasizes "control" and "stopping power" for extra precision in my movements. The Rebeltec is exactly what I wanted! Additionally, it is stitched around the edges, so it will likely last longer than the Steel Series QcK 250mm, which is considered one of the best all-around mousepads. The plastic on the bottom does not have "sticky" properties, at least on the wooden surface from IKEA that I use it on. However, when part of your wrist is on it while moving the mouse, it doesn't go anywhere, it's stable. If you push it from the edges, it moves easily. Personally, it doesn't create any problems for me, and as I used it, it didn't move without me wanting it to at all. (All of the above is my experience with a Logitech G305). I don't know how it will behave with a heavier or lighter mouse. Finally, you have to stick your nose on it to faintly smell that "rubberiness" that most fabric mousepads have. The QcK Heavy smells more.
