I bought this phone when it came out 3 years ago for about 580 euros. Back then, it was a rocket and its video and camera quality still holds up after 3 years, although it lags behind in video mainly and to a lesser extent in photography compared to the new phones that are available now for around 300 euros. If I were looking for a phone now, I would still choose this one for its everyday use, as it has endured my daily bumps and falls from everywhere, even being submerged in water without any issues. It doesn't lag anywhere and it has the Play Store, unlike the newer models that don't have it. I am very satisfied with this phone, considering its price has dropped significantly now. I think its camera, sound, and everything else are very good

Everything is fine, I have it for a year and I have no problem, I highly recommend it. The only bad thing, not so bad actually, almost not bad at all, is that if you are on a call and you take the phone away from your ear for a bit, the person you are talking to can't hear you, which doesn't bother me personally, and it doesn't apply to speakerphone.

I have this particular phone for 7 months. I use it a lot for social media and it started freezing almost from the beginning. Its battery lasts a whole day despite the usage. Also, the camera is very prominent and requires a lot of attention to avoid scratches. I, who put a "360 case" and thought I had my mind at ease, ended up damaging it and now I need 78 euros for repair. So, be very careful!!!
Other than that, it is a good phone for its price.

After 1 year of use and transitioning from the P10, I am satisfied with this particular mobile phone overall and consider it an upgrade in comparison to my old phone, except for the front camera. The result is really disappointing, the first photos are always blurry! Although the resolution is theoretically very good and the shutter is fast, I don't know why this happens.

Other than that, the battery holds up very well, even with continuous use. I always have my smartwatch connected via Bluetooth and the data always open, and I only need to charge it once every 30 hours or so. If you disable some functions, it can last for two days, something I didn't have with any other smartphone. Even with the passage of time, the battery remains consistently good.

The dual rear camera is more than good enough, but if you find your photos unrealistic, you can simply disable the AI.

Note that I have used ALL flagship phones, but I always go back to iOS. I will explain later why, even though it doesn't matter.
POSITIVES: - Nice screen with realistic and not oversaturated colors. However, black is worse than the iPhone 8.
- Amazing photos and very good video.

NEGATIVE: - SMOOTHNESS...and let me explain:
Try browsing a heavy website. I thought that the scrolling lag had disappeared in recent years. NO!!! And this is what made me sell it. It is unacceptable for a device at its price (not everyday prices). I don't know what could be causing it, but on the same website, right next to it, I scrolled with an iPhone 7...No comparison...For me, this is unacceptable and it seems very strange that no one has noticed it. Anyway. I tried other lighter and everyday websites and it was the same compared to the iPhone 7...And we're talking about a 2-DAY old device. Imagine as time goes by...

For the current price, it is worth it for everything. Personally, having used other brands, I think that EMUI (and 9) is poor in design and features. Super fast speed, loud and clear sound, and excellent night camera. However, the morning shots and portraits have a lot of editing and noise reduction, resulting in distorted images. The AI is very poor compared to the Mate 20, and if you want to zoom, you can only do it in the 12 MP mode. Average battery. I recommend that if someone has doubts about buying it and is looking for something similar at this price, they should go for the Xiaomi Mi8 if they don't mind the software and screen size, or the LG G7 if they prioritize the screen and sound.

The mobile phone is very good, I have had it since July and I have no complaints. I saw some comments about the battery not lasting, but personally, it lasts me quite a while with good usage. I can't find anything negative about it in general. Additionally, it charges very quickly and has a very nice design. Maybe the video could be a little better, and the speaker for music is not very loud, but it doesn't bother me at all since I only listen to music with headphones. It has never lagged for me and the photos are very good. Overall, I am very satisfied and I believe that the price now is just as it should be. I bought it for a higher price, around 500, but it could have been initially priced at 400 or 450

From the best sellers in the global market. Small differences with the PRO. Excellent camera, very fast with a good feel in the hand. Unfortunately, its battery for 3400 is disappointing. With EMUI9, it will definitely gain other capabilities. A big plus is the extra 3-month screen warranty from the company. I hope the battery gets fixed with some update because it's really a shame.

Beautiful design, very good screen, incredible camera with many capabilities, especially the photos in low light come out wonderful. The front camera is equally good.
The negatives I noticed are the following: The battery doesn't last long, barely makes it through a day with good use, however, it charges excessively fast and somewhat balances it out. The second is that the sound volume is not satisfactory when it comes to calls. Overall, a very good device with emphasis on the dual Leica camera.

Owner of this particular phone for about 2 weeks now, coming from a Galaxy s9 plus and previously a Mate 10 pro. (Generally, I try at least 2-3 flagship phones every year..)
I have to say the following:

-Incredible photos, front and back. Bravo again to Huawei.

-Not equal video quality. Good but not what you would expect after seeing the photos taken by the lenses.

-Very beautiful design and VERY convenient in the hand. The main reason I switched from the s9+ was this.

-Good screen, nothing special. No comparison to the AMAZING Samsung screens, slightly worse than the AMOLED on the Mate 10 pro.

-Amazing battery life. I didn't expect it at all. I am a heavy user, data on all day, wifi, continuous web browsing (I don't play games). Screen on time battery duration consistently over 6 hours a day. (better than the s9+ I had..)

-Fairly fast in everyday use, rarely will it show any lag. A step behind the s9+ I had, maybe the 2GB less RAM that Huawei has plays a role.

Overall, a VERY GOOD device that can now be purchased at a very normal price. Whether new or slightly used, like I bought it.

So, having been tired of the curved screen which, after a year of use on the Galaxy Note 8, was more of a hassle than convenience (difficulty in applying a protective glass, mainly in browsers or links from FB it would cut off the text or be annoying in videos at a specific angle), I decided not to spend a thousand euros on a phone again. And let me tell you something, I haven't regretted it at all. I sacrificed the much better quality screen of the Note 8 and got much better battery life, yes, much better. With the same usage, I now go to bed at night with 40% battery, while before I might have needed a second charge even though I always carried a power bank with me. I got a better camera with more options and settings, and in many ways, a more practical device. The 6.5-inch screen is an exaggeration if you think about it, considering there are tablets with 7 inches.

In comparison, I will mention the pros: battery, camera, faster fast charging.

In terms of speed and bugs, I haven't had any issues with either (at least so far).

Negatively, I only lost the flawless display of the Super AMOLED on the Note 8, which was perfect for Netflix and other similar apps that support HDR.

As for sound, I listen to music either with headphones or Bluetooth speakers, so I can't judge the speaker, which is probably inferior to the Note.

Overall, though, for the money, this device is definitely worth it.

The mobile phone is simply amazing. After 1 week of use, I can say that it simply works flawlessly. Its photos are amazing and the sound in its music is incredible, even though I haven't used its headphones yet, but rather the ones from my G4 that I still have. Its battery is quite good, personally it lasts me 1.5 days with light usage and a lot of browsing, and due to vacations, I constantly have 4G and location services on. I found it on sale for about 560 euros with a 110 euro gift voucher, so it was a great deal for me. It already has a factory-installed screen protector and it also comes with a case, which is convenient for me because it doesn't slip from my hand at all. Finally, coming from an iPhone, I can confidently say that I haven't experienced any lag whatsoever.

Update 19/9/18: I don't know if it's my device's fault, but the GPS in combination with Google Maps is terrible. Also, when the sun shines directly on the screen, you can hardly see anything.

The mobile phone is very good, it does not have the features that other flagship models have, such as the Mate 10 Pro or its sibling, the P20 Pro. What it lacks is an OLED display, IP67 rating, 6GB RAM, always-on screen, and a third camera, which is only found in the P20 Pro and not in the Mate 10 Pro.

For me, all of the above were not reasons to spend an extra €200. I don't care if it is waterproof or not because I have been a smartphone user for years without an IP rating and they lasted just fine with an average lifespan of 2.5 years. The extra 2GB of RAM is good if you need it for gaming or demanding mobile usage, but since I focus on social media and browsing, it doesn't matter much to me. The OLED display also doesn't concern me, as the P20's display is already very good with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2220x1080, which is more than enough for the average user. I say this because I previously had two Samsung phones with QHD resolution and OLED displays, and my own eyes didn't see any difference, except for those who watch movies all day on their phones. For those users, I would recommend getting something with an OLED display for better black performance.

What may disappoint some people is the camera, which is not triple, but I have to say that whether you get the P20 or the P20 Pro, you are getting a model with the best camera in a smartphone right now. Better than the iPhone X, better than the Galaxy S9. Personally, this is what won me over, that even the P20 has a better camera than both of Apple and Samsung's flagship phones. And for those who claim otherwise, visit the DxOmark website and tell me which are the top two models in the phone category. The first is the P20 Pro with a score of 109, the second is the HTC U12+ with 103, and the third is the P20 with a score of 102. So practically, if you get the P20, you are getting the second best camera currently available in the market. The S9 is in fourth place and the iPhone X, priced at €1300, is in seventh place. So with half the price, you get a phone with a significantly better camera than the iPhone X.

128GB of storage... I won't say anything else, it's like carrying an external hard drive with you. A case and a screen protector come in the package, and the screen protector is already applied. So you won't need to buy anything extra.

In the end, the phone is amazing. The processor, which I didn't mention much, is not Snapdragon 845, but it has AI and it doesn't lag in everyday tasks, not even as a joke. Your money is well spent on this device, especially if you can find it for around €530. The camera is its strong point, with the second best camera in a smartphone right now, and it also has an exceptional design that often makes people ask if it's an iPhone. And I respond, "Did you insult me, my friend? Then why are you insulting my phone?" So feel free to say the same to Apple fanboys and leave them speechless because this phone is incomparable, not even as a joke.

Everything is fine, I have it for a year and I have no problem, I highly recommend it. The only bad thing, not so bad actually, almost not bad at all, is that if you are on a call and you take the phone away from your ear for a bit, the person you are talking to can't hear you, which doesn't bother me personally, and it doesn't apply to speakerphone.

I have this particular phone for 7 months. I use it a lot for social media and it started freezing almost from the beginning. Its battery lasts a whole day despite the usage. Also, the camera is very prominent and requires a lot of attention to avoid scratches. I, who put a "360 case" and thought I had my mind at ease, ended up damaging it and now I need 78 euros for repair. So, be very careful!!!
Other than that, it is a good phone for its price.

After 1 year of use and transitioning from the P10, I am satisfied with this particular mobile phone overall and consider it an upgrade in comparison to my old phone, except for the front camera. The result is really disappointing, the first photos are always blurry! Although the resolution is theoretically very good and the shutter is fast, I don't know why this happens.

Other than that, the battery holds up very well, even with continuous use. I always have my smartwatch connected via Bluetooth and the data always open, and I only need to charge it once every 30 hours or so. If you disable some functions, it can last for two days, something I didn't have with any other smartphone. Even with the passage of time, the battery remains consistently good.

The dual rear camera is more than good enough, but if you find your photos unrealistic, you can simply disable the AI.

Note that I have used ALL flagship phones, but I always go back to iOS. I will explain later why, even though it doesn't matter.
POSITIVES: - Nice screen with realistic and not oversaturated colors. However, black is worse than the iPhone 8.
- Amazing photos and very good video.

NEGATIVE: - SMOOTHNESS...and let me explain:
Try browsing a heavy website. I thought that the scrolling lag had disappeared in recent years. NO!!! And this is what made me sell it. It is unacceptable for a device at its price (not everyday prices). I don't know what could be causing it, but on the same website, right next to it, I scrolled with an iPhone 7...No comparison...For me, this is unacceptable and it seems very strange that no one has noticed it. Anyway. I tried other lighter and everyday websites and it was the same compared to the iPhone 7...And we're talking about a 2-DAY old device. Imagine as time goes by...

For the current price, it is worth it for everything. Personally, having used other brands, I think that EMUI (and 9) is poor in design and features. Super fast speed, loud and clear sound, and excellent night camera. However, the morning shots and portraits have a lot of editing and noise reduction, resulting in distorted images. The AI is very poor compared to the Mate 20, and if you want to zoom, you can only do it in the 12 MP mode. Average battery. I recommend that if someone has doubts about buying it and is looking for something similar at this price, they should go for the Xiaomi Mi8 if they don't mind the software and screen size, or the LG G7 if they prioritize the screen and sound.

The mobile phone is very good, I have had it since July and I have no complaints. I saw some comments about the battery not lasting, but personally, it lasts me quite a while with good usage. I can't find anything negative about it in general. Additionally, it charges very quickly and has a very nice design. Maybe the video could be a little better, and the speaker for music is not very loud, but it doesn't bother me at all since I only listen to music with headphones. It has never lagged for me and the photos are very good. Overall, I am very satisfied and I believe that the price now is just as it should be. I bought it for a higher price, around 500, but it could have been initially priced at 400 or 450

From the best sellers in the global market. Small differences with the PRO. Excellent camera, very fast with a good feel in the hand. Unfortunately, its battery for 3400 is disappointing. With EMUI9, it will definitely gain other capabilities. A big plus is the extra 3-month screen warranty from the company. I hope the battery gets fixed with some update because it's really a shame.

Beautiful design, very good screen, incredible camera with many capabilities, especially the photos in low light come out wonderful. The front camera is equally good.
The negatives I noticed are the following: The battery doesn't last long, barely makes it through a day with good use, however, it charges excessively fast and somewhat balances it out. The second is that the sound volume is not satisfactory when it comes to calls. Overall, a very good device with emphasis on the dual Leica camera.

Owner of this particular phone for about 2 weeks now, coming from a Galaxy s9 plus and previously a Mate 10 pro. (Generally, I try at least 2-3 flagship phones every year..)
I have to say the following:

-Incredible photos, front and back. Bravo again to Huawei.

-Not equal video quality. Good but not what you would expect after seeing the photos taken by the lenses.

-Very beautiful design and VERY convenient in the hand. The main reason I switched from the s9+ was this.

-Good screen, nothing special. No comparison to the AMAZING Samsung screens, slightly worse than the AMOLED on the Mate 10 pro.

-Amazing battery life. I didn't expect it at all. I am a heavy user, data on all day, wifi, continuous web browsing (I don't play games). Screen on time battery duration consistently over 6 hours a day. (better than the s9+ I had..)

-Fairly fast in everyday use, rarely will it show any lag. A step behind the s9+ I had, maybe the 2GB less RAM that Huawei has plays a role.

Overall, a VERY GOOD device that can now be purchased at a very normal price. Whether new or slightly used, like I bought it.

So, having been tired of the curved screen which, after a year of use on the Galaxy Note 8, was more of a hassle than convenience (difficulty in applying a protective glass, mainly in browsers or links from FB it would cut off the text or be annoying in videos at a specific angle), I decided not to spend a thousand euros on a phone again. And let me tell you something, I haven't regretted it at all. I sacrificed the much better quality screen of the Note 8 and got much better battery life, yes, much better. With the same usage, I now go to bed at night with 40% battery, while before I might have needed a second charge even though I always carried a power bank with me. I got a better camera with more options and settings, and in many ways, a more practical device. The 6.5-inch screen is an exaggeration if you think about it, considering there are tablets with 7 inches.

In comparison, I will mention the pros: battery, camera, faster fast charging.

In terms of speed and bugs, I haven't had any issues with either (at least so far).

Negatively, I only lost the flawless display of the Super AMOLED on the Note 8, which was perfect for Netflix and other similar apps that support HDR.

As for sound, I listen to music either with headphones or Bluetooth speakers, so I can't judge the speaker, which is probably inferior to the Note.

Overall, though, for the money, this device is definitely worth it.

The mobile phone is simply amazing. After 1 week of use, I can say that it simply works flawlessly. Its photos are amazing and the sound in its music is incredible, even though I haven't used its headphones yet, but rather the ones from my G4 that I still have. Its battery is quite good, personally it lasts me 1.5 days with light usage and a lot of browsing, and due to vacations, I constantly have 4G and location services on. I found it on sale for about 560 euros with a 110 euro gift voucher, so it was a great deal for me. It already has a factory-installed screen protector and it also comes with a case, which is convenient for me because it doesn't slip from my hand at all. Finally, coming from an iPhone, I can confidently say that I haven't experienced any lag whatsoever.

Update 19/9/18: I don't know if it's my device's fault, but the GPS in combination with Google Maps is terrible. Also, when the sun shines directly on the screen, you can hardly see anything.

The mobile phone is very good, it does not have the features that other flagship models have, such as the Mate 10 Pro or its sibling, the P20 Pro. What it lacks is an OLED display, IP67 rating, 6GB RAM, always-on screen, and a third camera, which is only found in the P20 Pro and not in the Mate 10 Pro.

For me, all of the above were not reasons to spend an extra €200. I don't care if it is waterproof or not because I have been a smartphone user for years without an IP rating and they lasted just fine with an average lifespan of 2.5 years. The extra 2GB of RAM is good if you need it for gaming or demanding mobile usage, but since I focus on social media and browsing, it doesn't matter much to me. The OLED display also doesn't concern me, as the P20's display is already very good with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2220x1080, which is more than enough for the average user. I say this because I previously had two Samsung phones with QHD resolution and OLED displays, and my own eyes didn't see any difference, except for those who watch movies all day on their phones. For those users, I would recommend getting something with an OLED display for better black performance.

What may disappoint some people is the camera, which is not triple, but I have to say that whether you get the P20 or the P20 Pro, you are getting a model with the best camera in a smartphone right now. Better than the iPhone X, better than the Galaxy S9. Personally, this is what won me over, that even the P20 has a better camera than both of Apple and Samsung's flagship phones. And for those who claim otherwise, visit the DxOmark website and tell me which are the top two models in the phone category. The first is the P20 Pro with a score of 109, the second is the HTC U12+ with 103, and the third is the P20 with a score of 102. So practically, if you get the P20, you are getting the second best camera currently available in the market. The S9 is in fourth place and the iPhone X, priced at €1300, is in seventh place. So with half the price, you get a phone with a significantly better camera than the iPhone X.

128GB of storage... I won't say anything else, it's like carrying an external hard drive with you. A case and a screen protector come in the package, and the screen protector is already applied. So you won't need to buy anything extra.

In the end, the phone is amazing. The processor, which I didn't mention much, is not Snapdragon 845, but it has AI and it doesn't lag in everyday tasks, not even as a joke. Your money is well spent on this device, especially if you can find it for around €530. The camera is its strong point, with the second best camera in a smartphone right now, and it also has an exceptional design that often makes people ask if it's an iPhone. And I respond, "Did you insult me, my friend? Then why are you insulting my phone?" So feel free to say the same to Apple fanboys and leave them speechless because this phone is incomparable, not even as a joke.
