The engagement with the social significance of age is recent and fragmentary. Thus, in the Greek (as well as foreign) literature, there are many texts on aging and old age, very few on childhood, and hardly any on youth.
The issue of intergenerational relationships had until recently received little attention, while texts related to the relationship between social policy and age are rare, except for references to the impacts of aging on social expenditures.
This book does not aim to fill the gap. However, it aspires to contribute to the study of topics that are already crucial and seem to be progressively gaining more importance.
