Excerpts from the biography written by William Pierce:
"The relative isolation and loneliness he enjoyed in Iceland gave him the opportunity to solidify his thoughts and plan a political campaign based on his national socialist philosophy. Feeling that the most pressing need was a means to spread his political message, he considered various ways to enter the publishing industry. He had to build a bridge within this industry that would provide him with the operational funds and cost of living, as well as a vehicle for political expression."
"Rockwell had already concluded that if any progress were to be made, they had to break away from the far-right circles and venture into new territories. The far-right exchanged and read each other's leaflets for years without any notable result. They always used the same mailing lists and sent their propaganda to individuals who had already heard at least a dozen variations of the same theme. What they needed was mass publication in order to attract new blood into the Movement."
