3. The lemma is replaced by the symbol (~) where there are examples or expressions and where possible, for reasons of space economy.

4. The pronunciation is enclosed in brackets and has been represented with Greek characters, making the dictionary more user-friendly. Every possible effort has been made for a more accurate representation of the pronunciation.

5. For each lemma, there is a brief grammatical characterization (e.g., noun).

6. Where necessary, explanatory terms have been used (e.g., medical).

7. For nouns, both the indefinite and definite forms of the singular and plural are provided, or only the singular or plural depending on the case, e.g., boriyan, -i, -e, -et.

8. For adjectives, the feminine form is also provided, e.g., llupes, -e. The preceding articles are written in parentheses, e.g., mire (i,e), afermrndsh/em (i) -me (e) and are read as: i mire, e mire, i afermendshem, e afermendshme.
