This volume, containing all seven surviving works of Sophocles, is the second in the category of dramatic poetry, which is part of the series Translated Authors of Ancient Greek Literature, with which we complete the various literary cycles.

Following the completion of epic poetry, our publishing house now offers a comprehensive collection of dramatic poetry. We have already started with Aeschylus, and we now present Sophocles. Euripides, Aristophanes, and Menander will follow.
