An excellent narrative of events from different perspectives for a period that marked the foreign policy of the United States and defined the stance of the political and economic elite towards the American public.

But also an interpretative tool for everyone, especially for younger generations, to understand what connects the Vietnam War with military interventions in Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Jonathan Neale clearly shows how war is the continuation of politics by other means. A politics that Washington has been applying for decades against external enemies and internal threats. Those, namely, who oppose its expansionist policy.
