I had the Arctic MX-4 and I thought that with this paste I would have lower temperatures since many say it is the best, but honestly... it's a letdown, I have about 10 degrees higher than what I had with the Arctic MX-4

Replacement of a Thermalright TF7 on an AMD 9700X. To be honest, I didn't see any difference in temperatures. Probably all pastes, if applied correctly and in the right amount, and if the cooler is pressed well on top without any gaps, do more or less the same job. 4 stars because it's simply extremely expensive...

Tested on Asus fx503mv i7 7700hq gtx1060 6gb where the mx4 and mx4 2019 edition lost their performance within four months (spikes up to 95c at first and then, with a bit of stress, 95c became the norm). I hope the kryonaut lasts longer. Today, April 25, 2026, and the kryonaut performs just as well without temperature spikes on the processor and without exceeding 88c under load.

-1 because the temperature with water cooling was +5 @idle and +18 @load with another paste that cost 80% less

It's for one application only, 4 because it's unreasonably EXPENSIVE, okay it's good it has longer duration than the classic ones but still the price is unacceptable!!!

It made my PS4 Pro silent. I don't need to say anything more. If you have a noise problem and it's due to the paste, get this!

It's one of the best thermal compounds on the market. Excellent performance and long lasting. I applied some on my Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and on my RTX 2070 Super GPU last year, and it still gives the same performance as if it were applied yesterday, even under heavy workload.
The only downside is that it's very expensive "1 g for about €9". You can find cheaper alternatives, like Arctix MX4 that has a comparable performance and costs €5- €6 for a 4g tube.

Very expensive for an amateur. I did not see any drastic differences. Lowered the temperature by 5 to 7 degrees but probably another paste with less money would do the same since I replaced a paste of 1 year. If you replace the paste once a year like I do, such expense is not necessary.

After the bad experience I had with the Arctic MX5, I chose this one. It is in the top 5 of thermal pastes, so it is a sure choice. I don't know how it behaves over time or if it solidifies to the point where it completely sticks to the processor (like the last MX5), but friends who use it say they are satisfied. Clearly easier to apply with maybe slightly higher temperatures compared to the MX5 - but it is negligible.

When building a new computer, you never use the manufacturer's "mother" paste. As a "teacher who taught and didn't follow the rules", I used the Corsair Hydro Series H115i RGB Platinum's "mother" paste. And while everything was fine in the winter, in the summer the 5900X started reaching the ceiling of 90 degrees Celsius, forcing me to lower the clocks. With Kryonaut, I dropped the temperature by 7 degrees, so now it boosts more and for a longer duration.

I have been using it for years on my computers and laptop. It is different from other thermal conductive pastes on the market. I have seen a decrease of two degrees in temperature. Now, if it's worth paying triple the price for a two-degree Celsius difference, I would say no. If someone simply wants to use the best thermal conductive paste on the market for their machines, I would say there are differences, but they are small. For me, the only negative aspect is its price.

The paste is very good but not so good for PS4 pro in terms of noise it had. The MX-4 did a much better job in a test I did with these two

I applied the paste to a 6-7 year old Dell laptop that had temperatures ranging from 50-65 degrees Celsius at idle, and after applying the paste, it had a maximum of 30-40 degrees Celsius, and at one point, I even saw 27 degrees Celsius!! And over time, it will improve even more. I highly recommend it. If you only want to apply it to one device, 1 gram is enough and you'll have some left over. Personally, I would buy it again

Perfect thermal paste dropped my temperatures on the overclocked 5600x to 4.650oc at idle to 22c to 30c depending on room temperature, and reached 66c in cinebench 23 and 77c in prime 95.
Buy without fear, it's worth every penny.

A small observation is that the "tube" also has an "applicator" that screws on top (mine opened in two when I put it on), so I took a different approach on how I applied the thermal paste on the CPU, using the traditional method. I put a dot in the center and four smaller dots on the corners.

After two applications, I can say that it is the best paste available for easy application (I mean not metallic). I applied it to my PS4 Pro after reading a relevant guide and I was amazed! It became completely silent! But the second application on a laptop with a GTX 1080 and a hot processor left me speechless! In stress tests that I conducted before and after applying the paste, the temperatures were almost 20 degrees lower on the CPU and GPU! So I highly recommend it, it doesn't cost a fortune! It is definitely worth it and more!

By far the best paste on the market, hence the price, and I also put in the liquid that is simply free money and then when they dry you need sandpaper. The best paste for a system with demanding overclocking that requires the best possible cooling. The paste drops the temperature by 100% from 6-10 degrees, even compared to already good paste. Now compared to the cheap ones, the difference is 20 degrees, I can say. Compared to the thermal grizzly aeronaut, which is already one of the best at the levels of ht1 or mx4, this one dropped the temperature by 8-10 degrees on a very aggressive overclocked ryzen 1600 at 3.93 with 1.46 volts, and by 5-7 degrees on the gtx 1660 ti, and I repeat, compared to already very good paste

Guys, incredibly good, the temperature did not drop below 44-45 in idle condition. I have air cooling but good, not simple. I was thinking of changing the cooling to liquid cooling because during use the temperature easily reached 65-67, even causing the PC to restart due to temperature... A friend suggested before changing the cooling to change the thermal paste and recommended this one. I didn't expect such a difference, now in idle I am between 35 and 38 (8-core i7) and for the past 3 days that I have been monitoring the temperature, it hasn't gone above 57! I highly recommend it.

It lowers the temperature more than other pastes, but in 3 months it dries out and the temperatures return. Whoever has the appetite to change paste every 3 months, good for them.

In Ryzen 5 1600, the initial temperature is 28. With 30 degrees inside the house and gaming, the processor goes around 50

It significantly reduced the temperatures and fan load on 2 Xeon processors and an MSI 970 GPU, especially the MSI which feels brand new now. For the application, it would be ideal if it could be done within 20 seconds, afterwards it becomes a bit harder.

Be careful with this specific paste when you receive and use it. I bought the 5.55 grams version and after a month of use, it had destroyed the surface of my processor and cooler, creating noticeable cavities! Good thermal conductivity, but not worth it! There is an entire article about Cryonaut on Overclockers UK, known as Kryonaut abrasive! What a shame for the Thermalright True Spirit 140 Power and Ryzen 1600. Want equally good results? PK-3 prolimatech doesn't corrode and is excellent and cheaper compared to Kryonaut. Unacceptable! 12.5 W/mk is good, but I prefer 11.3 W/mk which doesn't remove material from both surfaces! Obviously, I got a defective tube.

24/6/2020: Buying from the official reseller once again, I realize that I had indeed received a defective tube at first. So, I am changing my rating to 4 stars and time will tell!

Compared to the mx4 that I was using, there is not much difference, almost the same idle and 1-2 degrees lower at max. The other plus I noticed is that it takes longer for the temperature to rise compared to mx4, which might make it better. However, overall I wouldn't easily recommend it, both because of the price and the difficulty in application (not for beginners). Now, as for the drying time they mention, I will come back in a few months.

Coming from the Noctua NT H1, I noticed a temperature difference of almost 10 degrees with the Corsair H115i PRO on the 8700K. I didn't expect such a big difference. By far the best thermal paste on the market right now. I applied it using the pea method (meaning a medium-sized dot in the middle) and it spread evenly across the entire IHS without any issues because I read that it can be difficult to spread and Thermal Grizzly recommends using the included spatula.

Overrated for what it offers, not to mention it makes you lose faith in spreading it,
yes, this one requires spreading as Debrauer suggests in his related video.. it was tested on a delided 8700k 5ghz
with a Corsair H100i v2 without seeing any differences from the MX4 of Arctic Liquid.. wasted money

It must be the best thermally conductive paste in the market at a reasonable price.

Its advantages are that it is easily available and dries very quickly.
