The BOYA BY-DMR7 Shotgun Microphone with Integrated Flash Recorder is a high-quality condenser microphone designed specifically for DSLR cameras and camcorders. The built-in flash allows you to record 24-bit/48kHz audio files onto a MicroSDHC memory card (sold separately), with a capacity of up to 32GB. It features a button for recording and an easy-to-read menu.   • I bought it for its supposed directionality. I put it on my camera, thinking... great, I'll avoid lapel microphones! Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. You can hear everything. Background noises, side noises, everything in general. Unless there are settings that I haven't discovered yet. I will come back if necessary, or I hope to read experiences from other owners.
    edit 14-3-2024. It becomes directional when you use it alone with a memory card inserted on top of it!!! If you connect it to the camera, it won't give you the sound it should. It will do what I described above.
