Good camera for someone who is starting this beautiful journey of amateur photography of all kinds... further comments later as it is too early to judge after 6 months of use, I believe with time it will become clear.

This review is about the bundle: Kit (EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 DC III)

Edit: "For easier use in photography, choose mirrorless models. They focus faster and more accurately, and from the screen, you can see the final photo before you even take it... However, the price doubles." M50, R100, etc. models are mirrorless. Professional photographers will definitely recommend mirrorless...

In more expensive models, there is the ability to take photos faster and quicker auto focus, etc... Better quality in video recording, better quality in HDR photos, etc...

Unfortunately, in this specific camera, I don't understand why the video recording quality is so mediocre and inferior to that of a mobile phone; there is no image stabilizer OIS... etc... The good thing is that it gives us many more options in the way of taking photos compared to a good mobile, but overall... mediocre results. It is a good camera for an amateur who wants to take photos with more options than a simple mobile.

This review is about the bundle: Kit (EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 DC III)

Bought in October 2019 for purely amateur use. Very good and easy to use, I would say. It's incredibly worth the money, especially if you have learned some things from YouTube, shoot raw in manual mode, and learn a bit from Lightroom. It was elevated by an old Helios 44m 4 and a Tair 11a 135mm from the M42 to Canon EOS adapter family, worth 18-20€. A hobbyist friend with a Sony camera worth 1000€ envies the photos with the swirly bokeh that this Helios lens produces. The kit 18-55 is rarely used, only when I want a wide shot.
    Edit:
The night photo was taken with the basic kit at 18mm-f3.5-30 seconds-ISO 6400, and the other photo was taken with the Helios 44m4

Good camera. I got it for amateur use. After two years of use, I decided to evaluate it because only then can you draw very clear conclusions. So, I noticed that over time it presented some problems with enlargement (when I zoomed in, it became a bit blurry and didn't produce a very clear image). I took it to a specialist and they told me that the lens was to blame for this. I changed the lens and it really improved. Conclusion, you keep it for two to three years and then get a better lens. I don't know if this has happened to others.

Generally, I have a love-hate relationship with this camera. I bought it as an amateur and now that I have progressed a lot, I will sell it and buy a Nikon D7200. If you want your camera to focus in less than 5 centuries, don't buy it. The dynamic range is low and it has the worst sound when taking photos.

    Pros:
    - Cheap
    - Lightweight
    - Good photo quality during the day
    - Good Color Science
    - Good battery life

    Cons (there are many):
    - Plastic mount
    - Autofocus is terrible
    - Screen is bad
    - Nice viewfinder, but the AF points indicators are very ugly
    - Only 9 AF points
    - Battery overheats during video recording and feels like it will explode
    - Tripods leave scratches because the bottom is not metallic. Well done Canon.

TL;DR: An okay camera for beginners, but I recommend choosing the Nikon D3500.

I got the camera to take photos in automatic mode. I didn't feel like learning how to work it in manual mode because I thought it was a science (!!) until I saw an unboxholics video. In 53 minutes, I learned the basics and it gave the camera and me double the capabilities! I'm obsessed with photography and I've already bought 2 extra lenses that help in conditions like low lighting (e.g. 50mm). A very good choice for anyone who wants to start with photography and doesn't want to spend a fortune or wants to take better photos than the ones we take with our phones.

Initially, I do not have the specific camera, but a friend of mine does and I have taught him how to handle it.
First of all, for those of you who say that it has poor performance in low light, it is because you have the camera on automatic instead of manual, and for those who do not know how to handle a camera in manual mode, go watch videos on Unboxholics and see all the videos that Alexandros Karpas has made. The camera is amazing for its price, and for those who want to start something with photography, it is worth the money by far. The camera I had was expensive, but that's for professionals. For example, I had the 2000d, which was equally an awesome camera

For the money alone, it is incredible. Its major drawback is the lack of stabilizer, but you don't easily find that in such cheap DSLRs. It performs decently in low light, but the average user won't have any complaints. Generally easy to use.

I bought this camera about 2 months ago and I can say that I have been very satisfied. The only negatives I have are the screen because it doesn't have good resolution and the build quality because it is made of cheap plastic, but otherwise it is a very good camera for an amateur photographer.

Another honest proposal from Canon. A basic DSLR that doesn't lack quality features. It's worth every penny, especially now after Canon's amazing offer. With the addition of IS lenses, the optics become even better and you have the opportunity to try out a variety of fixed and zoom lenses at very reasonable prices for our time. The 18mp covers 90%+ of the amateur photographer's needs. The negatives are the plastic lens mount, manual flash activation, and the low ISO up to 6400. However, the image quality, although not visible in practice, is still a drawback. It's a great purchase for entering the DSLR CANON SYSTEM. On the positive side, it allows for transferring captured photos via WIFI.

Good camera for someone who is starting this beautiful journey of amateur photography of all kinds... further comments later as it is too early to judge after 6 months of use, I believe with time it will become clear.
