"Microscopic Structure of Tissues and Organs of the Body" is an effort to depict and describe the fine structure of all tissues and organs of the human body and domestic mammals, as observed in histological preparations under the microscope.
It is an attempt to self-teach Histology, relying primarily on images and secondarily on text. For this purpose, images of specimens taken with the help of a microscope equipped with an image analysis system are comparatively analyzed in the explanatory text that accompanies them, in order to provide the necessary information for understanding the microscopic structure of the body as well as how this structure serves the physiological expression of the organism.
The relatively short text preceding each of the individual chapters provides the critical introductory information needed to understand the basic tissues and the organic systems of the body.
