It is based on the communicative approach to learning Russian as a foreign language, while also presenting grammatical forms and syntactic functions of the language.
Therefore, the instructional objectives of this manual are as follows:
1) Learning the phonological system and the letters of the Russian language, mastering the basic pronunciation rules and the main types of stress patterns in Russian,
2) Developing the essential skills and competencies necessary for communication in various types of speech activities based on texts drawn from specific areas of communicative activity, which are based on language material of a particular scale in the process of acquiring language skills, given that the word "specific" is synonymous with the concept of "communicatively justified," meaning necessary and sufficient for solving certain problems in the future speech activities of the learners.
3) Developing the ability to understand the grammatical structure of the Russian language, that is, not just a simple knowledge of grammatical rules, but their practical application. [...]
