At the price they are sold, I don't think there is any competition.
After two years of intensive use, they continue to work flawlessly.
Mainly, I have used the drill on wood, and a few times on concrete and sheet metal.
The battery that comes with them (1.5Ah) is very decent and with proper use and charging, it lasts easily. Of course, a second one is needed, so you don't have to keep swapping them if you use them simultaneously.
Personally, I also have two more 2Ah batteries, and they are more than enough for me.
If I wanted something more, it would be for the impact driver to have torque adjustment.
For amateur or semi-professional use, they are highly recommended with eyes closed.
Update 6/2025: After almost 4 years of use, the drill burned out its motor. It was pushed quite hard to reach this point, since it was drilling holes (8-10 mm) in particularly hard woods (beech, elm, iroko, walnut). I thought it was the carbon brushes, but the brushes CANNOT be replaced, as they are fixed with the motor. I replaced the motor with the same one from Makita, at a cost of €25, and everything is fine.
So, it's not for really heavy-duty work, which I already knew.
The impact driver continues to work flawlessly!
