Description

Description

The book deals with the technique Teacher in Role, which is a fundamental technique of the Drama in Education method. It includes a brief introduction to Educational Drama, presents the theoretical framework on which the technique is based, and suggests the key directions for its use.

Specifically, it systematically analyzes the process by which the teacher selects, designs, and implements a role within the context of group improvisation with students. Additionally, the book includes 50 proposals for theater workshops with Teacher in Role. These are Drama lessons with Teacher in Role that were designed by students of the Department of Theater at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki under the supervision of the authors between 2007-2016. The lessons have already been implemented in primary and secondary education schools.

The goal of the book, which is directly connected to the book "The Art of Drama in Education. 48 proposals for theater education workshops" (Metaichmio, 2007), is to provide a pedagogical tool for educators at all levels, for drama educators, for students of theater studies, drama schools, pedagogical departments, and generally for all those involved in theater education and aiming to promote creative education.
