The changes in the daily life of people have been occurring at an exceptionally rapid pace in recent decades. Language, following and expressing life, is changing at a corresponding speed.

The non-use of processes, techniques, tools, or means also leads to the fading from collective memory of the words that denote them. In their place, new words that represent new situations enter our daily lives and meet our needs.

This dictionary records 4,198 rare, forgotten, or hard-to-find words, as well as common words in decline. All of them refer to the objects of our folk Medicine: the body and its functions, diseases and their symptoms, treatments, and healers.

Where possible, the words are developed in a way that makes them a kind of reading material.
