Extremely good headphones overall. Okay, they are quite expensive, but they are worth their money. Sturdy construction, mainly metallic (except for the cups). Connection with PS5 via USB. I recommend that as soon as you open them, you connect them to a PC and do a firmware update. You can also adjust the equalizer to suit your taste. The sound for gaming is very rich, without excessive bass overpowering everything (hello Razer :-)). In terms of volume, at maximum it gives you a headache, I have them at around 80%. They work very well with the PS5's 3D sound. The wireless connection with the base is very good, without any disconnections or audio interruptions. The virtual surround works satisfactorily, without being something that will blow your mind. In terms of music, they are nothing extraordinary, but they do their job. Their microphone is probably the best I've ever had in gaming headphones. The positive aspects also include the many connectivity options (USB, optical, 3.5mm jack). Comfortable fit with only the fabric membrane coming into contact with the head, but I haven't tested them for more than a continuous 3-hour period. They also have Bluetooth, so you can connect them to your mobile phone and not miss any notifications while playing. A very useful feature is the second battery that charges inside the base while you play, so you never run out of battery (I have never charged them via the micro-USB port). Steelseries claims 10 hours per battery, but I'm not so sure (they last me 7-8 hours without Bluetooth connected). For this price, I would like a carrying case and perhaps slightly more sturdy plastic on the cups. If you want top-of-the-line wireless headphones and are prepared to pay accordingly, they are one of the best options available.

The headphones are the top wireless "gaming" headphones since 2018 and would probably be the top overall if they didn't exist in a wired version with a DAC.

The sound is amazing and the sound stage is very good. (According to other users' testimonials, you will need to spend some time to make sure they fit correctly, if you have a big head like me, they were perfect out of the box. If they don't fit correctly, the sound sounds different and much worse than their normal sound, the same applies to the bass).

The microphone is satisfactory for VOIP in games or discord/teamspeak, but not for anything beyond that.

The battery lasts for 4 months, on average it holds 75% of my day before needing to be changed to the second battery, and the backup battery is always fully charged long before the headphone battery drops below 50%.

The range is beyond satisfactory as I have signal in any point even if I am in a ~100sqm house.

The headband is great in terms of comfort, although it needs frequent cleaning, which means it needs to be removed.

The ear cushions are okay, but for such a high-end headset, they are a letdown. I have replaced mine with aftermarket ones since the first month.

Latency/response time is minimal and should not affect your purchase.

Of course, in order to have the crazy response time they have, they use a 2.4GHz connection, which means THERE WILL ALWAYS BE WHITE NOISE as long as the headphones are functioning. It is always there even when it is overshadowed by louder sounds and there is no way to eliminate it while playing. IT IS NOT AUDIBLE WHITE NOISE and it doesn't bother me, but it is always there, resulting in a noticeable difference when I turn them off.

The DTS is good but not necessary, even in FPS titles, I usually leave it off without consequences.

They have Bluetooth that can work simultaneously with the 2.4GHz to receive signals from two devices (PC/mobile).

They also work with PlayStation (lol).

The receiver is okay, but it has many bugs. If it has more than 1 request at the same time, the screen will start flickering and won't stop until a restart is done. The screen is OLED and looks amazing, but it means it cannot be constantly on if you plan to use the headphones for a long time.

It only has 5 sliders on the equalizer both in the "Steelseries Engine" application and on the receiver.

There are quite a few users whose headphones have broken at the hinges, and it is a "common" phenomenon for Steelseries headphones.

From my experience, the support is amazing, but 70-80% of users on trustpilot and other forums say the opposite.

The volume wheel on the headphones is used for pairing with the receiver in case of an update, and there are several threads with users stating that they cannot pair because the volume wheel is broken.

DTS (surround sound) increases the white noise, and if you leave it on while listening to music, the sound is worse.

The drivers are of high quality and support hi-fi lossless, but they do not have certification because the 2.4GHz connection does not cover it.

Bluetooth has been choppy in my music, but it has not been repeated since then.

If you are looking for the top, these are amazing headphones, if not, they will disappoint you greatly.

EDIT: DTS significantly helps in titles like DAYZ, compared to when it is turned off.

At the beginning, when I wore them, I was so disappointed with their sound quality that I wondered about the good reviews I read and heard...

However, after a few days, I adjusted them to where I wanted and they indeed have very good sound quality - and now I can't listen with anything else...

Compared to the Kraken Pro - they don't have any bass, on the other hand, the Kraken has more bass than necessary...

On the very positive side, they have 2 batteries, and changing the battery is easy, so while you use one, the other charges and is ready for use if you run out of battery... On the negative side, they have a mute button where you hold them to take them off and I keep accidentally pressing it without wanting to.

The cushion comes off and can be changed, I have also bought the leather cushions - however, they are very warm and ultimately unbearable... Also, for so much money, they don't even provide a carrying case - you have to buy it separately...

Also, as you play, you can have them simultaneously connected to your mobile phone and if someone calls you, you can talk to them without interrupting the game! and without the other person hearing that you are playing.

Now their program with the 7.1 is average, the same goes for Razer's virtual 7.1.

What I have tried and combined is Dolby Atmos, it's not free but it really is the best for understanding where the opponent is coming from, and it also provides good sound quality.

So yes, they are very expensive, you can't hear amazing sounds until you adjust and customize them to your liking, the bass is lacking, and there are too many mid-tones - however - in the end, you won't be able to live without these headphones... I will mention my pain again, once I lost the settings and the sound was terrible... and I had to search again to restore them... this hasn't happened to me with other headphones - I don't know why..
