The "handy" book is primarily aimed at students of Natural Sciences and its purpose is to introduce them to the Theory of Codes and specifically to Algebraic Coding Theory.

At the same time, it aims to demonstrate, even to the unsuspecting reader, the necessity, power, and beauty of Mathematics.

The level has been chosen to be accessible even to individuals without prior (higher) Mathematical education, who are willing to study the "required" Mathematics.

Efforts have been made to present the material simply, but not simplistically, and in many places, stimuli for further study are provided.
