Deligianis, Kanellos (1780-1862). A prominent man from the Peloponnese, a key figure in the Revolution of '21 in Moria, and later a politician.
He was born in Langadia of Gortynia, a descendant of the well-known Deligianis family, local Kozabasi. He was a member of the Friendly Society, into which he initiated his brother Panagos.
On March 23, 1821, he declared the Revolution in Gortynia, along with his brothers and the Plapoutas family. He participated in the sieges of Karitaina, Tripoli - where he lost his brother Theodoros, a volunteer hostage in the besieged city - and Patras.
