The Ministry of Education of Greece is particularly happy to participate this year with a special booth, together with the Center for the Greek Language and in collaboration with the Education Coordination Office of our Embassy, at the 22nd International Language Fair in Paris.
The goal of the Ministry of Education is to promote the Greek language and Greek culture abroad. The language of a people undoubtedly constitutes a main component of its history and cultural identity.
However, the administrative organization of the European Union, of which Greece is a member, as well as the dynamics of globalization impose practices on modern society that distort the linguistic landscape and reduce the rights of the national language.
