Description

Description

The managed switch by MikroTik is mainly recommended for large professional networks. It offers the ability for a network admin to configure its parameters regarding security, traffic prioritization, remote error correction, and other features.

  • Ports: 24 ethernet ports with a maximum speed of 1Gbps
  • Technology: Power over Ethernet (PoE), for simultaneous power and data transmission through an Ethernet cable
  • Supports PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at)
  • Suitable for: IP video phones, IP PTZ HD cameras, 802.11ac (WiFi 5) AP, small audio speakers
  • Can be rack-mounted, suitable for placement with other switches

Power Supply

The switch is mounted in a 1U rack and features a built-in 500W power supply, with consumption up to 44W. It provides guaranteed 450W for PoE (150W per group of 8 ports), with a maximum output of 30W per port.

Dual Boot Function

The device features a “Dual Boot” function, allowing you to choose between two operating systems: RouterOS or SwOS.

  • If you prefer a simplified operating system with only switch management capabilities, choose SwOS.

  • If you need routing capabilities (Layer 3) and advanced features, use RouterOS.

You can select the operating system either through RouterOS, SwOS, or the RouterBOOT loader settings.
