Detailed, understandable, with many examples, with explanation - translation in every sentence and in parentheses the pronunciation of each word (very important). No one becomes a teacher from a book, but surely in a little while you will start to understand many of the things you hear, as well as speak with basic vocabulary. Try it in combination with Duolingo and news from Deutsche Welle and you will see quick results!

Very confusing and without supplementary exercises to understand the respective grammatical phenomenon. It has some exercises that simply repeat the lesson. It starts with a chapter on declension of adjectives, then continues with something else, and revisits the declension of adjectives after three chapters. Very confusing. I learned quite a bit of German after a lot of studying, but after some time I realized that I couldn't put it in order. I do not recommend it. There are much better books with grammar and exercises.

A good introduction to the German language. Additional books or even classes are definitely needed to learn German perfectly, but as an introduction and learning basic rules and words, this book can be quite useful.

Quite a good book, I started it to relearn German which I stopped speaking for quite a few years after I left Germany. The only thing I would like it to have a little more of is syllable-by-syllable written in Greek the words it teaches you so that you can learn to pronounce them correctly; it would help because I wouldn't have to open Google Translate every time to hear how they are pronounced.

While at some point the book does this, in the last pages which have a large dictionary with sections, e.g., Section "House," it tells you all the words related to the house, but it doesn't write how to pronounce them there, only in German and what they mean.

Aside from that, everything else is perfect; I recommend the book.

Very good introduction to the language. I recommend it.
It helps a lot to integrate into the language from the beginning, from the alphabet through vocabulary, grammar, and expressions. A very worthwhile choice.
