Instructions for using the dictionary
1. The dictionary is written in demotic Greek with a monotonic system.
2. The entry is written in bold characters. The same applies to derivatives and expressions listed.
3. The entry is replaced by the symbol (-) where there are examples or expressions and where possible, for space-saving reasons.
4. Pronunciation is enclosed in brackets and rendered with Greek characters to make the dictionary more user-friendly. Every effort has been made to accurately render the pronunciation.
5. Each entry has a grammatical designation, in brief (e.g., noun).
