It keeps getting stuck on the USB, very often I think it has damaged parts. Bad purchase for the little use I've made of it.

I had it for 2 years without any problems! It fell once from a small distance and I lost 500gb.... Unfortunately, I recommend getting something more durable!

It worked 7-8 times on Mac. On the 9th time, the system didn't recognize it. I will try it on Windows as well. It took a long time for the computer to read it, the transfer of files was quite fast but what good is it if it goes off? It's a shame the money for something supposedly quality.

One day, out of nowhere, it asked for a format and I could never recover the files. One day it worked and the next it died.

Within a year, it broke down and I lost all the files inside. I sent it for repair to the store where I bought it, but they did not return it to me

I have two, as a backup for my system files. After 2-3 years of operation, they are okay in all aspects. They are worth their money, I would say.

I bought this hard drive at the end of 2022 and today, 9 months later and after it has filled about half, it is essentially useless to me. The reason is that writing large files like a movie is painfully slow, and when we say slow, we mean speeds below 1 MB/sec. It's a shame for the 70-something euros I paid and a shame for all the comments here praising it, obviously based on very simplistic usage scenarios..

I bought the 2TB capacity disk on March 27th. By mid-July, the disk was completely finished. It started showing problems in June, and after a month, the disk had 400+ bad sectors, resulting in me losing 1.1TB of my work. Spend double the money and go for a Samsung SSD T5/T7 instead. Stay away from HDDs!

Due to my profession as a sailor and the need for an external hard drive, I chose to purchase this product. However, while I believed I made a good purchase, after a short period of time, it was discovered that the hard drive started making the characteristic sound of "click" or otherwise known as the "click of death". Additionally, the fact that it is the same HDD makes it very vulnerable to falls or damage due to its operating method (with heads). In my case, the result was losing all of my files completely without any chance of recovery at sea. Since then, I have purchased an SSD (Samsung) where I would recommend it to anyone in need of a hard drive because they are both sturdy and fast, and due to their technology, they are up to 10 times more durable than an HDD.

Blackout! After a few hours, it is no longer recognized by any computer. I don't know if I stumbled upon a problematic piece, but this one is garbage. Don't buy it.

I got the 2TB one a month ago and hooked it up to the series s... It runs games from ONE and 360 smoothly and without any problems, with fast copying speed, quiet operation, good construction, and sleek appearance. Everything is good so far, and if anything changes, I'll come back.

This is the 4th one I have purchased due to its quality in relation to price, durability, and speed.

The review concerns the 2T disk. I use it as an extra storage space for PS4 games. It connects easily to the console and is perfect for the job I need it for. I am very satisfied with my choice.

There is nothing negative on the disk. It is relatively fast and makes almost no sound. In fact, one day it accidentally fell off my desk, but it still works fine.

For what I wanted him for, to load him with documents, photos and videos, he's great. I have him as a permanent second hard drive connected to a USB port. He doesn't take up any space, I secured him with double-sided tape on the side wall of my desktop.

I had bought a 2 tb two years ago, and now I bought another one also 2 tb. It is very lightweight, connects to the PC immediately, and is quite small in size, but its speed is moderate (which I knew and don't care about). Its price is around €60, which is too expensive for 2 tb!

Flawless in use. I have been using it for 2 years and it hasn't caused any problems whatsoever.

So far, I have had 2 Toshiba external drives and both of them didn't last more than a year... Unfortunately, they are not reliable.. I won't be buying Toshiba again.

Update: I bought it in June for 48.50 euros, now it's 79 euros...
Probably the price of olive oil has gone up, which they obviously use for coating on the disc... (here we laugh...)

Flawless device. It has fallen twice while I was moving my laptop, but it didn't suffer any damage. I highly recommend it!

I have four of these discs and they are literally "dogs"! Excellent in every way! I don't buy any others and I hope they continue to exist! I have tried discs from all the well-known companies over time. None reached the quality and performance of this one.

It's wonderful. It was purchased as storage space for PlayStation games, an expansion space. It does what it says and is practical and portable. As for speed, it's average. I see some comments about speed that are not satisfied. Simply put, if you want speed, go for SSD, while space for HDD. You gain something, you lose something. I will update in the future for any changes.

This particular hard drive is quite high-quality, reliable, and easy to use. The only observation I have is that if you want to use it on a Mac/macbook (macOS software), you may need to format it. This can be done relatively easily: After connecting the external hard drive to the desktop/laptop, go to the 'disk utility' application, click on the external hard drive from the left panel/directory, and select 'erase' from the panel. Once you click 'erase', you will have the option to give a name to the external hard drive (optional) and choose the new format. It is recommended to select "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" there. Then click 'erase' confirmation, and the disk is ready for use.

I got it to play my PS4 games on my PS5, I've had it for about 4-5 months and so far no problems. If the room is quiet, you can hear it when it's working, but it's not too bothersome. In terms of speed, it's an HDD, so I didn't expect too much.

The first time I bought the disc, it broke in 2 months and my laptop couldn't recognize it without dropping it or getting it wet. Luckily, it was replaced, but after 6 months the second one broke without any fault of my own. While I was using it, the problems were generally good, but slow in transferring files and downloading games, and some games like FIFA 22 and F1 21 didn't even run or ran very slowly if they did.

Personally, I would say that it's not particularly fast in copying. The thing is, anyone looking for external storage, especially for an HDD, probably isn't looking for the fastest copying speed. Overall, it's worth the price. I've bought a 1TB, a 2TB, and filled them up. Now I've also bought a 4TB. My opinion is that it's worth it for someone who wants to store files and have them readily available. If someone is looking for a medium to store files that they will interact with regularly, I would recommend looking into SSDs or something a little more expensive than this.

For the money, a very good value for money if you want to store files that you don't use much or if your laptop has little space.

I frequently use them as a moderator. They are very durable and quiet. In contrast to other brands, they have not let me down.

After 3 years of using 2 2TB disks for backup and with the recent purchase of two more, the working disks are excellent with speeds reaching up to 110MB/s in write. The disks are also very quiet in normal operation, with a convenient and small size.

However, there was an exception during these 3 years. One of the disks recently started making a quiet clicking noise, which I do not know the consequences it may have on the disk. This disk also presented this problem at the same time as a significant decrease in read and write speeds (<1-2MB/s), while occasionally it can reach its previous performance for a very short period of time. Note that the disk was used at most once every 4-5 months to transfer files from the computer and was kept in excellent conditions without ever falling or being damaged.

I was ready to give it 5 stars, but the disk capacity is 1.8 tb instead of 2 as described. I don't understand why manufacturers do this, claiming that 2tb is the nominal capacity as if it matters to anyone.
