The fisherman, initially a product of an unfamiliar environment for humans, managed to adapt and tame the liquid element, facing the sea with awe, wisdom, and respect. By deifying it, he battled with it in unequal contests, imposed himself upon it, achieved greatness, but also drowned.
It provided him with food, wealth, both material and spiritual, shaping his self-confidence, teaching him to use his mind, broadening his thoughts, and challenging his courage in daily struggles, while simultaneously introducing him to new places and different people.
