Except for its size, which in my subjective opinion is positive if it fits in your case as it is made of sturdy materials and shows its quality, as well as the fact that you may lose your mind trying to install it, in my opinion it is the best option.

I was torn between this one and the Noctua and I chose this one because regardless of the price, I consider it more beautiful and in the videos I watched between these two, the Noctua had a difference of ~1-3oC lower in stress tests, which I don't think even a demanding user will need.

Personally, in my stress test (Heavy Load) on an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor, it reached up to 75oC with an ambient temperature of ~20oC. And above all, it is quiet with the Silent Wing it has to the point where I have to put my ear on the case to hear that it is working.

In my opinion, its performance is identical to that of the Noctua, and I believe that only the appearance should be the factor that moves you if you are between the two.

Bought about 2 years ago for AMD Ryzen 3900X, main use as a workstation and test server, virtual machines (kvm qemu, virtualbox, vagrant, docker), compilations, etc. With positive airflow in Be-Quiet Pure Base 500DX (great case), Arctic MX 4 2021 paste, and 4 memory modules, I have an idle temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. In winter, I have seen idle temperatures of 28-30 degrees Celsius, but since I added 2 more memory modules (I have a total of 4 now), it has increased. Maximum temperature during use may have been around 67 degrees Celsius when compiling a package like Chromium. In Linux benchmarks (stress), I have seen a maximum of around 73 degrees Celsius. Note that in Windows, I obviously see slightly higher temperatures due to OS management without having more services running compared to Linux. It has a bulky cooler, but it is reasonable for its performance. The stock fans are quiet, and with the case placed on the floor and in normal use, I don't hear anything at all. I have no regrets about it, and I don't think I would find anything better for my use, and if there was, it would have a difference of 2-3 degrees Celsius. Comprehensive benchmarks for the above can be found on GamersNexus, where I saw and purchased the case and cooler. The photo with the temperatures attached to my review is with 4 memory modules with an external temperature of around 32 degrees Celsius. I will soon upgrade to Ryzen 5950X and will return to this review with new temperatures in the future.

2. It replaced the stock AMD fan for the R5 3600x and I noticed a significant difference in temperatures. After a BIOS update (f62), for some reason the temperatures of this processor were reaching 90 degrees (!) and I decided to change the fan to avoid damaging it (I built this computer at the beginning of the pandemic, so you can understand that I paid a lot for all the parts of the computer). I didn't install liquid cooling because I was afraid of the space and other issues, and after some research, I ended up with this one. Tremendous difference, quiet, in idle it can drop to as low as 35 degrees, maybe even lower (depending on the airflow of the case and how you set the fans to work), and in relatively demanding games (Lost Ark, World of Tanks, Battlefield 5, COD Cold War, etc.) I haven't seen temperatures above 65-70 degrees.

3. It's on a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro motherboard, fits perfectly without any RAM issues, but it hides them so if you want to remove them, you'll have to struggle a bit. Corsair Carbide 175R RGB case with tempered glass (medium tower) fits almost perfectly. The installation is a bit strange, so I recommend removing the motherboard to see better (although I installed it as is). It's quiet as most people say, the case has almost all the tools you'll need, it has thermal paste for one use AND an extra magnetic screwdriver.

4. For those looking for a relatively budget air cooling option, it's a very good choice. It does its job correctly and quietly.

P.S. It doesn't have RGB.

It was installed on a Ryzen 2600 and compared to the previous Wraith cooler, there is a tremendous improvement in temperatures and noise. With a stress test, the Wraith reached 88 degrees and the fan was ready to fly out of the case, while in idle it played around 45-55. The Dark Rock ranges from 29-33 in idle and barely reached 57 in stress test, and above all, it's QUIET!! MX-5 thermal paste was used. The testing period is in December with corresponding room temperatures.

Now, onto the cons. Firstly, the installation. Having experience installing at least 15 different coolers, the truth is that I played the hero and installed it without removing the motherboard from the tower. Big mistake as due to the cooler's volume, it doesn't give you hands and visual contact in case something goes wrong. I recommend to the next friends to remove the motherboard from the case before proceeding with the intervention. Also, to install the 2nd fan in the center, I had to remove the graphics card, as it didn't fit with any, and it must be installed at the end, as right below it is the brace that stabilizes the cooler on the base. I'm afraid of the day I'll need to remove it.

The 2nd negative is that the first two RAM slots are hidden, so I cleaned one of them, put it back and said goodbye to it, as now to remove it, the cooler must be removed.

Finally, the volume and the high price must be taken into account because it may not fit in a medium tower.

On the plus side, besides the impressive performance for me, is the screwdriver with the magnetic tip. At least for those who don't have something similar in their tools.

For those who don't make frequent changes to their RAM, don't have a problem struggling a bit with installation and are looking for a cooling solution, I highly recommend it. It also doesn't have any lights or LEDs. Personally, I'm not interested in RGB, but some may seek it.

With Ryzen 9 5950x and minimal OC (at 3.6 GHz) in a Be Quiet Silent Base 802 case and with the 3 intake + 2 exhaust fans of the case at the lowest speed (to achieve absolute silence), I have not seen temperatures higher than 50-55 degrees. I never expected such a processor to be cooled with such ease! I am amazed by the result and of course, I am thrilled, since as long as I passed the summer heatwaves like this (where the room temperatures were clearly elevated), I imagine that other seasons will be a "walk in the park" for the Dark Rock Pro 4. For installation, if you have no experience, I suggest you watch 1-2 videos beforehand (there are many!!), which will really help you. It is indeed a bulky cooler, but it has its own beauty and gives personality to your case setup. Do not expect to hear the 2 default fans it has on top... You will only see if they are working with the naked eye! They are completely silent! I highly recommend it to anyone who does not want to deal with AIO cooling.

One of the best options for cooling, as long as it fits in your case.

I bought it for my 10700K. At idle, it runs at around 32-35 degrees. With full load and in the summer, it reaches up to 70-75. Given that Z490 motherboards tend to provide more power by default, and for an 8-core processor, the temperatures are very good.

It is easy to install, and even easier thanks to the long screwdriver included in the package. Of course, it is recommended to install it with the motherboard outside of the case.

It is of excellent quality, like all be quiet! products, and the same goes for the fans, which are silent up to 1,000 RPM.

Just be careful if you have a narrow case. The cooler is 163mm tall, so you should check beforehand if it fits. Overall, it is bulky, like any self-respecting air cooler.

An alternative is the also excellent Noctua NH-D15, which competes in performance. However, since the be quiet! is 20€ cheaper, I don't see a reason to go for the Noctua.

In any case, it is a top-notch cooler at a good price for its performance.

The dimensions of the case to be installed should be taken into account as various issues can arise during installation due to its size. Be careful before choosing, especially regarding memory.
I highly recommend installing it outside the case, removing the motherboard to do your job properly and quietly. The movements on the case are not easy (mainly due to its size, watch installation videos for better understanding).
As for the installation, G.Skill TridentZ RGB memories fit comfortably, the only difficulty I had was with the middle fan.
The positive aspect is the hole for the screwdriver that comes with the cooler for fastening.

TLDR: Recommended for overclocking enthusiasts, but you must have a large spacious case and definitely ATX or larger size, with a relatively difficult installation process.

Just today I installed this "monster" and from 83.6 degrees that the R5 3600 OC reached at 4200MHz in a stress test for half an hour, it now does not exceed 68.3!

Yes, it is bulky, and yes, it has a relatively difficult installation, but I managed to do it without removing the motherboard because my case is one of the largest available and that's why I had freedom of movement. It fit comfortably for me (I have the CoolerMaster H500), but before you buy it, pay close attention to your space because it definitely won't fit in all cases, especially in anything smaller than ATX. With the RAM, if they don't have a large heatsink, you shouldn't have any issues with the Corsair LPX, and it's two fingers away from the GPU, so it has air. If you don't overclock at all, however, don't buy it, it's not worth the money, get something simpler!
