The intention of "An Anthology of Texts" by Rigas Velestinlis is to offer a direct channel of contact and dialogue with the ideas of the pioneering national awakening leader and founder of the modern democratic tradition in the Balkans, to the young people of our country as well as to the wider audience concerned with issues of self-awareness. The selections are indicative and aim to convey the most characteristic highlights of Rigas' thought and speech. For further study and deepening, the interested reader should refer to Rigas' own texts. We hope that the anthology will serve as a motivation for this substantial acquaintance. [...]
