The first ancient Greek Gods PLAYMOBIL were released at the end of 2016. In June 2018, after studies and with the contribution of archaeologists and educators, the first collectible set of the twelve Olympian gods was completed. The creation of the collectible figures required long-term research and preparation to ensure the result was as representative as possible, according to historical data. In April 2019, the remaining six gods were released, completing the pantheon.
Artemis was the twin sister of Apollo, reigning over the mountains and forests, and was the protector of young children and animals. Her favorite activity was hunting, and she was always accompanied by the Nymphs and her hunting dogs on her adventures.
The myth of Agamemnon, king of Mycenae, includes the sacrifice of his daughter, Iphigenia, as a debt to Artemis, which led to the goddess's intervention and Iphigenia's salvation. This myth inspired works by Euripides.
