Description

Discover the harmony of Japanese seasons with Roku Gin. A handcrafted masterpiece from the house of Suntory, combining the traditional art of Gin with six rare botanicals that thrive exclusively in Japanese soil.

Why Roku Gin is the top choice for gin enthusiasts:

  • The 4 Seasons in a Bottle: Contains 6 unique botanicals harvested at the peak of their season: Sakura (flower & leaf) for Spring, Sencha & Gyokuro tea for Summer, Sansho pepper for Autumn, and Yuzu peel for Winter.
  • Multi-layered Distillation: Each botanical is distilled separately using the method that suits it best, preserving its aromatic intensity and the silky texture of the spirit.
  • Balanced Complexity: Juniper, coriander, and cinnamon dominate the base, while floral notes and citrus freshness "dance" on the top.
  • Iconic Design: The hexagonal bottle symbolizes the 6 Japanese botanicals, while the washi paper label and calligraphy highlight Japanese aesthetics in your bar.

Your Flavorful Journey:

  • Aroma: Sweet and floral, with a strong presence of cherry and green tea.
  • Taste: Multi-layered and harmonious. The traditional gin flavor meets the exotic freshness of Yuzu.
  • Texture: Exceptionally smooth and velvety.
  • Finish: Slightly spicy and crisp, thanks to Japanese Sansho pepper.

A respectable gin with excellent aromas and wonderful taste. The Japanese evolve, as their saying goes, and that’s exactly what they did with this particular gin; they created something that for years Americans and English could not turn a simple gin into a feast of aromas and flavors

This, the Votanikon and Burleigh's pink, top gin for neat with ice, and at a top price, for their quality. At just over €30, they have no competition.

For Japanese gin, I expected more. For example, ETSU is many levels superior. At the same price, Martin Miller is also much better than Roku! I regret the purchase; the only positive is that my curiosity about its taste has been satisfied!

Initially skeptical because I had never tried Japanese gin before. I was choosing between Mare and Monkey 47. I tried it and I was really impressed. Subtle aromas and intense flavor. It's not as "harsh" and strong as I read. I tried it with ice and lime as a base. I liked it so much that I consider it equal to the European ones I mentioned. Completely value for money due to its lower price compared to others, and a rating of "six" (rocu=6) excellent!

Very nice gin. I was skeptical but as soon as you pour it in the glass, you can understand the aromas it releases. Personally, I drink it neat and it doesn't bother me at all. Try it with closed eyes. Excellent choice.

I am a lover of Whisky. However, I always like to occasionally spend money on myself and my pleasures.
I consider Gordon's rubbish and for Gin, I prefer Beefeater, Tanqueray as my base.
Roku is much better. Incredibly aromatic. And it's the first time I drink Gin straight with a little water to enhance the aroma and bring out the flavors even more.
    It's worth every penny.
From a Whisky lover, that's it.

Very strong and "hard" denim as you would expect from Japanese. However, it does not lack substance at all as you will definitely taste something different from European denim (due to other spices and fruits) and the final aftertaste is particularly peppery.
