We all start somewhere in our political positioning: family background, with past political loves and old hatreds, adolescent anxieties, participation, in our youth, in political formations, subsequent rearrangements or denials, and a host of other factors.
However, one element usually remains unchanged: the distinction between left and right ideologies. A distinction that remains impervious to any significant historical events of the past, to any attempts at a "Cartesian" critical positioning of things, and to any new historical upheavals that occur in our times.
Whether a citizen ultimately belongs to the Left or the Right has now become part of their DNA and does not change throughout their life! (Here's something similar: do you remember why, when you were a kid, you decided, at some point, to become an Olympiakos or a Panathinaikos fan and then remained so all your life?)
If someone tells us today that the obsessive "attachment" to these divisions is now pointless and that, contrary to what we believed, it is not only extremely harmful to our society but also completely meaningless, we will likely react violently! Nevertheless, it must be attempted!
