This narrative I wrote as a response to the love I have received over the fifty years I have been singing, and I offer it to you as a gift in return. With the hope that all the children of war, of every war, experience love and healing just as I have.

With tenderness, humor, and settled wisdom, beloved Greek singer Mariza Koch recounts her childhood years in Santorini, bringing to life an entire era—the difficult post-war period—paying tribute to the experiences that shaped her as a person, as a music educator, and as a performer.
