The book presents the results of the European research program EuroPEP (Program for Educational Priority Policies).
Within the framework of EuroPEP, thirteen educational institutions from eight member states of the European Union (Belgium, Britain, France, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, and the Czech Republic) collaborated. The scientific teams that contributed to this research raised questions concerning the key points of educational priority policies: the democratization of access to knowledge for all, the fight against learning inequalities, school dropout, and school exclusion.
However, they examine these issues from different perspectives, in relation to their national context and their specialization (sociologists, psychologists, educators, statisticians). This diversity, as well as the differences in national or local policies and their implementation, undoubtedly gives particular significance to the book, which enriches the Greek literature on European educational policy.
