I have met quite a few people in my life who desperately sought the freedom of their souls. They have traversed mountains, seas, and rivers, always lone riders, lovers of a chimera they had named freedom.
These kinds of people seem to ultimately be searching for their own trap. It seems they are looking for somewhere to be captured. Somewhere to offer, somewhere to throw away, the freedom they already carry within them, without even knowing it themselves.
Some enter minefields and get lost. Others find the great trap and become ensnared. Completely. Forever. Only they never admit that where they have arrived is a trap. They simply give it another name. Debt, let’s say. Sacrifice. Mission. Just so they can, if needed, wear their little hat, askew.
