I chose it, having used Chinese IP cameras Tsing Tsong for the past two years. The difference is huge. My mistake is that I didn't initially get the D-link dcs-8525lh, which has vertical-horizontal movement and costs twice as much. (I was looking to buy a D-link camera that ends in lh because ONLY those have cloud recording.) Anyway.
Positives:
Excellent construction, perfect assembly, and plastic quality.
Very easy installation (1 minute) and then it showed the image on an Android mobile.
Good support from the D-link website. Almost all questions are in the FAQ section of the site in English.
There is no delay in image transmission. The "mydlink" app running on Android is in Greek.
It delivers a moderate to good image (1280X720) and good sound on the mobile.
It has free video recording in the cloud without a subscription (and every time the motion and sound sensor is activated). This material stays for 24 hours and then deletes itself with a loop. However, within the 24 hours, you can view it, download it, or send it wherever you want. Very good and free.
Negatives:
It does not rotate with a remote control, you need to move it by hand. The 120-degree lens that covers the living room saves the situation a bit if you place the camera high in the corner.
Currently, there is no monitoring application for Windows, maybe in the future. The program available for other D-link cameras does not recognize it. There is no compatible program from third-party manufacturers.
The mydlink app is a bit extensive and complex because with the same program, you can control other D-link devices.
A Range extender was needed for the WIFI because otherwise, it couldn't send video to the cloud within 5 meters.
CONCLUSION.
A good and quality camera for entering the world of IP CAMERA. A non-tech-savvy user will have a little difficulty due to the multitude of operating options.
