It is a very expensive bin, no doubt about it. But I believe that in the long run it will prove to be economical, because based on the large bin I have in the kitchen (bought 13 years ago), it will be 'worth the money' even in 10 years (and more).
Apart from that, it has a nice quality of use: it sits firmly on the floor (without slipping when you press the button to open it), the lid opens easily and with stability, and it closes softly without banging. The other metal bins I had in the bathroom creaked and banged and broke after 2-3 years. I spent 23 euros on bins with poor quality of use in 6 years. Maybe it's because we have small children at home. However, the large kitchen bin endured all of that.
I hope it is also resistant to rust. Time will tell.
