Description

The SXTsq Lite2 is a compact and lightweight outdoor wireless device with an integrated antenna. Ideal for point-to-point links or as a CPE unit. It is portable, weather-resistant, and easy to install. The SXTsq Lite2 retains a 10 dBi antenna like the SXT Lite2, our previous model, however, the antenna design has been improved and the physical size has been dramatically reduced - the SXTsq is twice as thin.

The casing includes slots for direct attachment of a pipe clamp mount at three different mounting points, with the capability of mounting on horizontal rails. The device includes a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet port. There is also an easily accessible grounding connection for lightning protection.

To create a point to point link in short distances up to 100 meters without obstacles, even with some losses, you will do your job. For longer distances, more expensive solutions with higher dbi may be required, and possibly not of L3 category. In my case, I first tried to make a link at a distance of 600 meters with only one tree affecting the zone, and I had no signal at all. Eventually, I covered a second need I had to provide signal to 2 opposite buildings at a distance of 20 meters, avoiding Ethernet cables, and the installation worked perfectly (one as a bridge access point and the receiver as a station). One problem I couldn't solve immediately was that when connecting the bridge AP directly to the speedport, the Cosmote Wi-Fi had no internet. I downgraded the firewall on the Cosmote router and it came back, but the next day it was lost again. I don't know if this involves any additional parameterization on the AP, but I solved it differently by giving signal to the AP through a switch. It requires knowledge of Mikrotik parameterization or at least to watch similar videos available on the internet from other users or Mikrotik itself.

Quite reliable, it works all the time without signal interruptions and in case of a power outage from the power company, it restores in about half a minute. Before the Speedport Entry 2i router from Cosmote. I have tested it at 40 degrees, at 12 degrees, and in heavy rain. It doesn't back down !!!
