Heavy with a relatively thick blade, and rough to hold at the point where the blade meets the handle. Needs sharpening.

I was torn between this and the Wüsthof Santoku! I bought it because I wanted to support a Portuguese company instead of a German one. My butcher only uses ICEL and he recommended it to me.

Okay, it's amazing. It cuts very nicely, I use it for easy cuts and it's divine. At first, it may seem slightly less sturdy compared to the knives on the block. In two days, it will not leave your hands.

It says "Mind your own hands" on top, I think about it every day before I cut.. It shaves. Don't leave it unwashed, after each use, wash, wipe, and store. I don't let it touch other metal objects.
