The format of the exam determined the format of the book. Since the examinee is required to choose the correct answer from multiple-choice questions, the questions presented in this book are of this type.

Nevertheless, the answers and solutions to each question are presented in a fairly detailed manner. This way, the reader comes into contact with the method, technique, and theory that are necessary for selecting the correct answer to each question.

In selecting the questions, the following was taken into account:

• The required time to find the correct answer should be short.
• The use of a calculator should not be necessary for performing the required mathematical operations.
• They should cover all the examined material.
• They should assess substantial knowledge across the entire syllabus.
• The reader would prefer to find not common and simple questions that he already knows or can easily answer, but rather more specialized and complex questions that enhance his cognitive potential.
• They are aimed at graduates of higher education institutions and thus a minimum level of knowledge is assumed.
• The questions posed in the two conducted competitions, especially in the 2002 competition.
