Description & Specifications

“It was the worst time to publish a book about John Coltrane. A jazz book presentation in the middle of summer in Athens and at Dokimenta, a global gathering of art that seemed to concern everyone… No one would show up. Not even my publisher. Where the hell was I going?”

Mihalis Krokos gets entangled. Athens welcomes him with a heatwave and contemporary art, record tourism and antics, a memorandum and Airbnb, enlightened hackers, paranoid taxi drivers and fateful girls, murders, kidnappings, and the theft of a painting with all the secrets of the world. A writer lost in the tidal whirlpool of his time, in the wrong city, in the wrong summer.
