The critical problem is the value of values, the evaluation from which their value derives, thus the problem of their creation. Evaluation is defined as the differential element of the corresponding values: an element that is simultaneously critical and creative. Evaluations, when referred back to their element, are no longer values but modes of being, modes of existence of those who judge and evaluate, serving precisely as principles in relation to the values they judge.

That is why we always have beliefs, feelings, thoughts that we value, in relation to the way of being or the style of our lives. There are things we cannot say, feel, or conceive, values we cannot believe in, except on the condition that we evaluate "meanly," live and think "meanly." Herein lies the essential: the high and the base, the noble and the mean are not values, but represent the differential element from which the value of values themselves derives [...].

Scene. I have been writing for more than forty years in newspapers. "I create a scene" on stage, I write, I get angry. I have not been driven to crime. I reform. I am reformed. I think a lot.
