The bouzouki soloist and researcher Giorgos Alitis has gathered authentic documents and testimonies about the life and artistic activities of Giannis Stamatios - Sporos and Manolis Chiotis, composing their biographies, which he has enriched with indicative lists of songs they composed or songs in which they participated as performers.

The book simultaneously sheds considerable light on a dark, but perhaps the most interesting, period of our folk song's journey.
