I have had it for about 1 year. Nice watch for the money (180). It always runs 2-3 minutes fast.
20-12-25. As time goes by, it runs 5 minutes fast

The Orient Ray II is one of the "favorite" watches from the always reliable Orient. Reliable, beautiful, with its own personality that does not "copy" other well-known models on the market. One of the best diver watches in its price category.

Initially, the watch appears smaller compared to the dimensions mentioned.
Being my first mechanical watch, it felt heavy compared to the three quartz watches I own.
It is very beautiful and discreet. In my opinion, it is not suitable for large wrists.
The bracelet is quite average and I will probably replace it with a NATO type.
Personally, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Very nice watch, but the photo is terrible. It looks much better in person. The dial is glossy like the Seiko 5 Sports (bit.ly/3NqdAuh). It's worth its money (180) and more.

Very very good. If someone wants a mechanical automatic, real watch, instead of quartz gadgets, with impeccable details for everyday use or for use near water, etc., I don't think there is a better quality-price ratio. I really don't know if I would have paid more money, what could have been improved. Maybe only the crystal on top could be sapphire. But otherwise, it's beautiful, high-quality, and comfortable. And with another strap, it can be worn on more formal occasions. There are many options if someone looks for ideas, with a dark blue or tan leather strap, it looks perfect.

It tunes both manually and automatically and stops the seconds for you to set it exactly.
It goes 20 seconds ahead in two days.

I have had this watch for almost 3 years now and it hasn't had any issues. Overall, I am very satisfied. I believe that for the price, it is the most value-for-money watch. You can pair it with anything, its size is just right on the wrist, and it has technology that you won't find at this price range. For me, you can buy it without hesitation.

The watch is beautiful and elegant. The only flaw is the bracelet, which I consider to be too wide for the size of the watch. I believe the watch would be even more beautiful if it had a 42 or 43 mm case. Of course, the Kamasu model is available in these dimensions, but unfortunately it doesn't come in plain blue like the Ray II. Apart from that, the mechanism is guaranteed to function properly as it is made by Seiko. I gave it 4 stars due to the disproportionate bracelet.

Guys, listen, it would be good that before we evaluate a product, we should evaluate all the parameters. I am the owner of a Rolex Sub and I wanted an inexpensive everyday watch that can withstand all the hardships. This particular watch is one of the best at 200€ that you can buy. Don't expect miracles, neither Vacheron nor AP nor Rolex can be bought for the 200€ it costs, but it is more than sufficient.

Perfect size and very beautiful. It goes forward about 8-10 seconds per day. The bezel is a little tight but it loosens up. Legible and with good lum. I believe it is the most beautiful branded diving watch and it suits all occasions. I bought it for €120 on Black Friday offer (11/21).

Very nice watch. I haven't taken it off my wrist since the day I bought it. It gains about a minute every week. It replaced a Seiko chronograph that I had for about ten years. One of my best purchases.

First negative image, opening the package the complete absence of warranty booklet and user manual in Greek. Big mistake gentlemen, you are targeting the Greek market. Big mistake of course of the dealership as well. How much would the decrease in profits be if the two leaflets were also in Greek? It shows INDIFFERENCE towards the customer and in the future I will definitely take it into consideration.
Second negative image, the small length of the bracelet. Literally a child's size.
Third issue, the quite hard screw crown that makes it difficult to adjust the time and date.
In my first encounter with the watch, these things 'bothered' me a lot. Maybe later I will come back with other comments, hopefully positive ones.

It looks like a watch of higher value. It withstands the sea. Quiet mechanism. It goes slightly ahead almost 5 minutes every 2 weeks, but it doesn't bother and can be adjusted in seconds. It shows the date and day. I always had Seiko and I hesitated a little about buying it, but almost 1 month since I have it, I am satisfied and more.

I have had it for about a month. Very nice watch with a lot of style. Perfect timing for the money I paid (149 euros) at +5 to +10 per day. I have nothing to say about the dial, it is flawless. As for the bracelet, I would say it is not the best I have worn and maybe a little noisier than it should be. I am considering getting an aftermarket one and the watch will really take off there. I definitely recommend it. Great value for money, especially now that prices for Seiko watches have gone through the roof in the same dive watch category. For under 300 euros (including the camasu), it is definitely worth it.

Recent purchase and really worth it 100%. The following are positive: Beautiful up close, sturdy, sporty but also a dress watch at the same time! Decent and comfortable 22mm bracelet and awesome lume that lasts all night. If I had to mention negatives, I would say it probably gains more than 25 sec/day as stated in the specifications and the bezel is too tight, but I think they will loosen over time. Anyway, guys, in my personal taste, the watch is so beautiful up close that you forget everything and just stare at it. At the price of 149€ that I got it for, there is simply no competition for someone who wants an automatic diver-dress watch. Personally, I didn't go for the Kamasu with sapphire because I like this specific dial much more (hour markers in circles instead of rectangles). However, I believe the Orient Ray II or Kamasu with an additional 50€ are the best value for money options for someone who wants this particular style.

Very good watch with an amazing appearance like a blue dial. The only thing I noticed after 5 years of having it is that its accuracy has somewhat deteriorated, which was super at the beginning - unless it's time for a service or if it's due to uselessness! I'm trying to verify it, using it intensively, so I will come back. Also, the bracelet scratches relatively easily, the bezel is somewhat stiff, and it doesn't have the quality and accuracy of a Seiko. Additionally, the crown is a bit inconvenient for setting the time. You might ask why I gave it 4 stars;; Simply because it is a watch that, for its price and beauty, is extremely honest and beloved!!!! EDIT: FINALLY, after continuous use for 5 days, the timing returned to its initial amazing performance of -4secs/24h. (I added one star (meaning excellent) because it truly deserves it!)

This review is about the strap: Metal Bracelet

The watch has a sturdy feel. The metal bracelet is quite heavy for me, so I have replaced it with a NATO strap, which suits it very well. Its size is aimed at a rather thin wrist, but that's a matter of personal preference! It is automatic with a day of the week indicator, day of the month (day date), and of course, the second hand has the familiar movement of automatic watches. It glows brightly in the dark for a considerable amount of time. The bezel rotates, but it is quite hard, just like unscrewing the crown, which is used to adjust the days and wind it beyond the automatic function. The time deviation is within normal limits. Approximately once a month, the time will need to be adjusted because it will have lost a few minutes. If worn continuously, it will not stop. It is worth the 200€ that I found it for.

I am a fan of watches. I wanted it for a long time, finally got it and I don't regret it. It is the perfect size, especially for small to medium wrists. Very nice design, suitable for both sporty and casual attire. It is quite expensive for an automatic watch, relatively lightweight, good bracelet. It has very good luminescence, although not as good as the RAY 2. It is a watch that can easily be the only one for someone, it will satisfy them in all aspects, and it also looks much more expensive than its price. Orient is a Japanese company that, in the shadow of SEIKO & CITIZEN, has been making the most honest watches for their money for years, with great attention to the mechanism and reliability. It is no coincidence that it is one of the favorite brands in America!

    I had bought it cheaper...
I take baths and dives, I don't take it out of my hand!!
As an automatic, of course, it loses 1-2 minutes per week...

This review is about the strap: Metal Bracelet

It takes a few months to "settle" the mechanism, but afterwards it gives you the accuracy (and feeling) of a much more expensive watch. I wear it and enjoy it every day

I have it for 4 YEARS.
    I had bought it cheaper...
I take baths and dives, I don't take it out of my hand!!
As an automatic, of course, it loses 1-2 minutes per week...

  • The Orient Ray II is one of the "favorite" watches from the always reliable Orient. Reliable, beautiful, with its own personality that does not "copy" other well-known models on the market. One of the best diver watches in its price category.

  • Initially, the watch appears smaller compared to the dimensions mentioned.

  • Very nice watch, but the photo is terrible. It looks much better in person. The dial is glossy like the Seiko 5 Sports (bit.ly/3NqdAuh). It's worth its money (180) and more.

  • Very very good.
