For the creation of an image, art and theology work harmoniously together. The image, grounded in the doctrine of the Incarnation of the Savior, reveals with shapes and colors what Holy Scripture proclaims with words. In order for the Word to be revealed in it, the faithful or the viewer must be able to read it. Our intention in this book is to record basic principles and elements that will allow the reader to understand the meaning of the 12 basic feasts of Orthodoxy, known as the "Twelve Great Feasts," and will contribute to the comprehensive rendering of the iconographic work. In this attempt, we were aided by the continuous search and decryption of all those "hidden" symbols of iconography, which give the reader the ability for a better approach to the divine.
