Coming from the Stanley Sortmaster (amazing value for €10), I was looking for a case with a good multi-case locking system.
From the market research I did on Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Stanley, etc., Milwaukee was the one most recommended, despite the high cost.
Apart from the fact that the locking is very secure—it locks at up to 20 points/slots—the packout system is incredibly convenient and practical.
They are clearly high-quality and durable, but the locking mechanism is the main highlight of the packout. Even when I filled them completely for testing and had three full cases that were very heavy, they were just fine.
If one case is enough for you, okay, there are other quality and worthwhile options for half the price, with the simple side lock between them.
If you need more than you can carry in each hand and you can afford it or don't mind paying extra, then Milwaukee.
ATTENTION: One negative for me, apart from the price, is that you can't organize the compartments of the case as you can with the Stanley Sortmaster system. The thin Milwaukee case has dividers for its trays, while the thick case DOES NOT. For the thick Milwaukee cases, there are Milwaukee trays with codes 4932480699 and 4932480698 for better organization. It's ridiculous that they don't include them from the start, as if the price they're asking for the cases isn't already high enough.
