This work presents a translation of Tertullian's "Apology," an important piece from the early Latin Christian literature.
The translation of the text follows the edition of Carl Becker, Tertullian Apologeticum, Munich 1992, while the commentary is mainly based on the notes by Becker (pp. 285-316) and those of T. R. Glover (Tertullian Apology, ed. Loeb Classical Library, 1998, vol. 250).
I hope this translation contributes to the Greek understanding of the sources of Christianity and the broader overview of the context in which Christianity met the Greco-Roman world.
