The name of chamomile comes from the ancient Greek "chamaimelon," which means apple of the earth, due to its scent that resembles that of an apple. The characteristic smell is due to its cadmium content, which is quite unusual for a plant, and it has the property of strengthening the weak plants next to which it grows.

Traditionally used as:
