Wild Grass
Latin name: Cynodon dactylon Pers
Wild grass is a plant of the Greek nature whose medicinal use has been known since ancient times. It grows throughout Greece during the spring.
Traditionally used as:
- Diuretic for reducing fluid retention in cases of kidney diseases
- Anti-inflammatory for urinary tract infections
- Helps dissolve gallstones
- For reducing joint swelling due to rheumatism
- Generally for conditions of the gallbladder and liver
Used as a decoction: 1 teaspoon in 1 cup of cold water and boil for at least 15 minutes. It is preferably consumed on an empty stomach in the morning or 3 hours after a meal.
