Echinacea is recognized for its antiseptic, antiviral, and peripheral vasodilating properties. It is used in cases of sepsis, rhinosinusitis, pyorrhea, tonsillitis, and especially for boils, nasal rashes, and abscesses.
The tincture or decoction of the herb is used for canker sores, pyorrhea, and gingivitis. Externally, it is used as a lotion for treating infected wounds and abrasions.
Usage Instructions: The root of the herb is prepared as a decoction. Add 1-2 teaspoons of root to a cup of water, and once it boils, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. The drink should be taken three times a day. If taking tincture, consume 1-4 ml three times a day.
