The same Hoco X20 2m cable with a lightning connector lasted me over two years on my iPhone and iPad. The Micro-USB seems equally sturdy, but the current intensity drops slightly more. With lightning, it never fell below 1000mA. It definitely has to do with the battery and the device, but I mention it because in some chargers with a nominal 1000mA, it never draws enough current.
I also got the same cable in 3m, but I haven't tested it yet. Generally, in these voltages and intensities, it is good to buy cables as long as we need them, and not longer. On the other hand, the battery doesn't suffer anything if it charges at lower amperes, quite the opposite.
