Description

Work and joy, when they walk together, make life a celebration.

The book: Schools are opening in a few days. The ants decide to make gifts for the children. "Let them have them as school supplies in the class they will go to and like us, let them work and never forget," they say. The cicadas learn about this and decide to offer gifts to the students as well! But what can they make, they who do not know how to do anything since they have never worked? And yet! On the first day of school, everything turned upside down!

The series: To ensure that children have a healthy social life founded on effective relationships, they need to cultivate empathy, the ability to put themselves in others' shoes, to understand and feel things in the same way another person experiences them. This need is addressed by the illustrated books in this series, which promote emotional intelligence. With the suggested approach for parents and educators, they attempt to introduce children to see the world through the eyes of others, after first learning to recognize and manage their own feelings.

The author: Yolanda Tsoroni-Georgiadi is a graduate of the Law School, the Pedagogical Academy, and the Department of Education at the University of Athens, and has received further training at the Marasleio Teachers' College. She worked for many years in public education, writes articles for educational magazines, voluntarily participates in organizations for the promotion of literature, is an active member of the Women's Literary Society, and has published many books for children and studies of folkloric content. She has been included in the Register of Educators of the program "Innovative Actions to Enhance Students' Reading Culture" and has undertaken educational work in training seminars for Primary Education teachers.
